This resturant is a true diamond hidden in the flat land surrounding the city of Ferrara. Here I got a wonderful and unforgettable eating experience . I enjoyed almost everything from cooked land snail in butter and garlic, the fryed little shrimp and squid and the the woderfully cooked and served roasted cuttlefish in its black ink (a true piece of butter) As a dessert the sorbet made from "uva fragola" grapes was true surprise. This resturant is family owned and led from decades with a simple and friendly touch. Prices are above the average, but by far inferior for resturant of the same quality. Will come back for shure.
Really top quality and top friendly service. Idk the owner is a superstar.
Escargot 🐌 are amazing and delicious. Risotto con le rane una chicca. Wine selection huge

We had a great time, we got to know the host🥰.
And it was very very welcoming ❤️.
The service is there!
Hospitality and kindness as well.
Sunday lunch with my father who loves eel and I would say that the lower Ferrara area is the best place... among the many (that I will visit) I chose Athos who runs the family inn with his father Ido. Where tradition and territory can be found on the plate, great influence of French cuisine and a lot of humility. We ate very well..end of the recession!😂❤️. The
Starters: Eel terrine with onion flavored with raspberries, taggiasche and caper pesto and liver pâté, I loved it! Cod fritters with potato and hazelnut foam and a gift from the chef Guinea fowl liver pâté, brioche bread and hazelnuts...and the engines are warming up but it's already a podium! Don't want to try the legendary Risotto with Frogs? I really appreciated finding the boneless thighs, perfect rice cooking... a very delicate caress on the palate. The second courses: Snail flan, pumpkin, porcini mushrooms and zabaglione with parmesan while you eat it, sweet, salty and earthy play with every bite. Baked eel slices, fresh radicchio and onion ash and may tradition be with us father and husband made the slipper with white polenta.... What can I say closing with a bang! the lunch was accompanied by a young Poully Fumè perfect with every dish and the dessert mini rice cakes and tenerina with Pedro Ximénez from '99. Perfect room and team, thank you all,
Disappointed, I ordered fried fish, the menu highlights the ingredients including "prawns" and in reality there is "surimi" instead. In a place that has been renowned for years you don't expect it, it probably lives on income. I also have doubts about the sea bass fillet, it seemed defrosted as it arrives portioned in pre-composed pieces. Among other things, it should be highlighted on the menu if frozen fish is served. The place is nice, the service needs improvement, the dishes were served without asking whose order it was.
